Internationally renowned nutrition and fitness expert Kimberly Olson, PhD, CNC is the creator of FitKim, a nutrition and fitness blog that teaches super busy moms how to be super healthy. After gaining over 40 pounds in college and on several medications, she found herself completely rundown and embarrassed about the way she looked. When she turned 21, she was surviving off of animal crackers, Pepsi One and fast food. Before she knew it, she got really sick, had severe ulcers in her stomach and her body started shutting down. Instead of getting another prescription, she decided to figure this whole “health thing” out.
Kimberly became completely consumed with how to cook clean meals and fit in exercise. She lost all the extra weight, started feeling awesome and decided to dedicate her life to teaching others how to do the same. As a new mom, she has a unique passion for helping moms get their bodies back and cook the right food for their families.
She hasĀ completed her PhDs in Natural Health and Holistic Nutrition,Ā become a Certified Nutritional Consultant and also an ACE Personal Trainer. She travels nationally public speaking in schools, universities and various health venues. She has been consulting clients for over fourteen years, and has developed a passion for combining nutrition and fitness.
Kimberly is the author of The FitKim Lifestyle, a complete guide to teach readers everything they need to know to live healthier, become more active and learn how to finally lose those stubborn pounds. She has been featured on Fox, CBS, ABC, L.A. Talk Live Radio, Yahoo! and writes monthly for Taste for Life, Remedies and Momology Magazine. In addition, she is currently an educator and regional manager for MyChelle Dermaceuticals, a natural skin care company specializing in powerful plant-based ingredients.
Her upcoming goals are to publish Cooking with FitKim and SuperFit Pregnancy. She would also love to create an in-home program to help moms integrate a healthy lifestyle into their families. Kimberly resides in the beautiful hill country of Austin, Texas with her husband, Scott and daughter, Addison. She can be contacted at Kim@FitKim.com for freelance and consulting inquiries.
