In this fast-paced world, it may be hard to find time to do relaxing activities, so I like to suggest that moms look for ways to relax during every day tasks, such as bathing. Here’s how to make a relaxing bath from Epsom salts, baking soda and lavender:
Directions
In a hot bath water, add about 2 cups Epsom salts, 1 cup baking soda, and 10 drops of lavender oil. Swish all the ingredients and get ready to soak!
You can take this relaxing bath before going to bed every night for 20-40 minutes to enhance sleep and boost your mood. The fragrance of lavender oil relaxes the nervous system and lowers stress hormone levels. This bath is not only relaxing, but it is also detoxifying. Magnesium and sulfur in Epsom salts, as well as baking soda promotes detoxification of the body. Likewise, baking soda enhances alkalinization which is ideal for healing and optimizing bodily functions, and it also softens the skin. Other benefits of this bath include better blood circulation, lower blood pressure and sugar levels, and support in trying to fall asleep.
So maybe start a ritual a few nights a week and let the family know you’re going to have mommy time. Light a candle, turn on some relaxing music, and slip into this relaxing bath and watch what it does for your overall well-being. Amazing!
