You’ve probably heard “anti-inflammatory foods” before, but understanding why we need them for our health is so important. The majority of inflammation in our bodies is caused by the foods we consume.
Poor food choices such as processed foods and junk foods and even gluten and dairy can cause inflammation. The other major factor of inflammation is stress and other lifestyle choices.
Inflammation might not seem like a huge deal and can be easily overlooked—but doing so can be dangerous for your health. When inflammation is left unchecked and chronic, various ailments and health problems may occur. Incorporate as many anti-inflammatory foods in your diet as you can to prevent any future health problems.
Some of the best anti-inflammatory foods that you can find in my kitchen:
- Hemp, chia, and flax seeds
- Oily fish (ex: wild-caught Alaskan salmon)
- Turmeric, cayenne, cumin, cinnamon
- Ginger
- Garlic
- Broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts
- Kale and spinach
- Berries and tart cherries
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Apples
- Green tea
- Sweet potatoes
- Nuts (except peanuts)
- Avocados
There are obviously tons of others, but be sure to incorporate several anti-inflammatory foods into your diet.
Live your life to the fullest and ensure a positive future for your health by taking care of your diet and seeing a doctor when any health problems may arise.
