Dieting can be complicated – but it doesn’t have to be! Navigating your relationship with food can completely change your outlook on dieting and eating the foods you love the most. By learning to view food differently, we can continue to find food that makes us happy and healthy.

Think about the last time you tried out a new diet. There always seems to be something distinguishing “good food” from “bad food”. The creators of these weight loss programs are creating an incorrect mindset for their consumers to adapt. We have to change our outlook with food in order to see any results from dieting programs and/or lifestyle changes.

What can we do to make our relationship with food better? Take the time to think about how your body and mind feel after eating a meal. Practice self-love and self-care with every meal that you make and consume.

Food doesn’t need to be labeled as “bad” and it’s okay to splurge that carb-loaded meal the next time you want to treat yourself. Keep your mindset and your body healthy and consistent, and you’ll be able to view food in an entirely different light.
