You know yourself better than anyone, but that doesn’t mean you don’t need time for reflection. We can always make room for being more mindful of what we want out of our day-to-day and the steps we take to get there. But… where to start?

The most important part of self-improvement is finding your “why.” Start by asking yourself a series of questions and taking time to reflect and identify room for improvement.

We’re all given the same 168 hours each week and how we spend every minute determines the outcomes we receive. It’s important for your mental, physical, and emotional health to ask yourself the question: what is my why

Many of your favorite times where you are at your most relaxed is a great place to start with finding your why. Whether it’s your favorite self-care activity, a bubble bath, exercising, or another way to unwind, finding clarity and fulfillment within yourself is the first step in making changes to your life.

What gets you out of bed every morning? Find the aspects of your life that drive growth and work. Working towards something that is bigger than yourself can lead you to connect with your passions and ultimately, increase your impact and insight.

What are your strengths? How do they work in your favor when finding your why? When you are in your element doing what you love, productivity and personal and professional fulfillment will increase.

In what areas do you add the greatest value? Focus on the opportunities that you are most capable of completing and find where you can fit into the mix. This will help guide employment opportunities, community involvement, and effective team building.

How will you measure your life’s work? To take a stand, you must identify achievable passions and work to align your everyday life with the intention of reaching all your goals. By working towards this long-term goal, you will find fulfillment and be able to effectively measure your life’s work.

Overall, taking the time to identify who you are and what you stand for is a great place of reflection, and will lead to finding your why. Once you’ve gained the confidence and set the foundation for your life, you can start new projects, careers, and reach your goals with ease!
