Berries do the Body Good

As a Certified Nutritional Consultant and Personal Trainer, I build my clients’ programs around nutrition and fitness. I teach them that healthy weight loss will not happen overnight and they will have to be patient. But even when they follow their meal and fitness plan almost perfectly, some continue to struggle a bit to shed pounds. This is when I turn to my secret weapon-Raspberry Ketones. We all know berries are good for us, but can they really help us lose weight?

The ketone is a specific compound found in red raspberries that is responsible for its aroma. Ketones have been widely used in the fragrance and cosmetic industry for decades, and only recently has their weight loss benefits been discovered. In addition, research has shown a link between red raspberries and hair growth, skin elasticity, and a reduction in tumor growth related to breast, colon, and prostate cancer cells. Wow!

So how can a little berry do your body good? I like to call it the Triple Threat because it fights fat in three ways. First, raspberry ketones increase thermogenesis, which is responsible for heating up bodily processes. This can help rev up the metabolism so you burn more calories naturally. Next, ketones inhibit fat storage by inhibiting fat absorption and the suppression of fat synthesis from fructose. This will benefit you if you are trying to lose weight or even just maintaining your weight. And lastly, ketones increase lipolysis, which is the breaking down of fat cells. This is probably the most beneficial part for those who feel they eat well but can’t seem to get the scale to move.

Raspberry ketones can be taken with a big glass of water before meals or workouts, within about 30 minutes. If taken before a workout, raspberry ketones have been shown to increase intensity and duration of exercise. Also, my favorite supplement to go along with Raspberry Ketones is Garcinia Cambogia-you can get it together in one product here. They do two totally different things to support weight loss but work synergistically together to skyrocket results. Try them together and see what they can do to help support your efforts!
