Baby Chest Rub for Colds

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

I think one of my earliest concerns as a new parent was what to do if my baby got a cold. I’m not the type of person to go buy cold medicine, so I had to come up with a natural remedy that I felt was safe and effective. Here is what I use if Addison has a chest cough, which luckily has only been a couple of times!

  • baby chest rub2 Tbsp. Coconut Oil
  • 5 Drops Peppermint Oil
  • 5 Drops Eucalyptus Oil

Combine all ingredients in a glass jar. Using a small amount, gently rub into the chest area. Use a dry cloth to wipe away excess oil if needed. Apply several times a day.

Note: It is VERY important to only use high quality essential oils. I would not recommend the ones found at the grocery or convenience store. These are the ones I endorse. Enjoy!

  1. Hi Kim, I am a member of Young Living, but I also wanted to share with you another awesome essentials oil family, it’s Edens Garden, now they are not a multi level company so they do not have lots of expenses so they are able to keep the oils prices down. There is one price for everyone. They have awesome kits & create your own kits. I just wanted to share them with you because I think you will really enjoy their oils also. God bless you & keep up the awesome work & support that you GIVE to everyone. Thank you Lynn
